As one of our main services, GCS Malta's Accounting experts offer a full range of accounting and support services necessary for maintaining a company's accounting records.
These include annual returns, bookkeeping and preparation of periodic management accounts per the requirements of our clients and the Malta Financial Services Authority.
In Malta, all companies are required to keep proper accounting records and prepare an annual return in the prescribed format upon each anniversary of its registration.
Companies must also file a copy of the annual accounts with the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). These must generally be accompanied by a copy of the auditors' and directors' reports.
The annual accounts must be filed within 10 months from the financial year end. Accounting records are to be kept for a minimum period of 10 years at the Company's registered office or at such other place as the Directors of the Company may determine from time to time.
The format of the accounts to be submitted depends on the size of the Company and the accounting framework to be adopted by such Company.
