We’re currently looking for an Audit Supervisor to join our vibrant team on a full-time basis. If you have previous experience within the Auditing sector and are looking to take the next step within your career, then this one’s for you!
Reporting directly to the Audit Manager, the selected applicant will be mainly responsible for supervising, guiding, and training the Audit Team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for statutory audits of companies from planning to completion stages, including reporting and presenting findings to client.
- Preparing or reviewing the financial statements in conformity with relevant accounting framework and completion documents, including reporting to those charged with governance as applicable.
- Assess current audit procedures and recommend improvements.
- Cultivate positive and professional relationships with clients throughout the audit process. Act as the point of contact for client inquiries, concerns and feedback, demonstrating responsiveness and attentiveness to their needs.
- Manage audit timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure completion within deadlines while maintaining quality.
- Stay updated on changes in auditing and accounting standards and communicate these updates to the team and clients as necessary.
- Evaluate the performance of audit staff and provide appropriate feedback.
- Assisting with induction, training and supervision of junior/audit/senior associates.
- Encourage open communication, collaboration and teamwork among team members.
- Any other Ad-Hoc tasks assigned by the management
If you are in possession of an ACCA qualification, Masters in Accountancy, and/or equivalent, then this one is for you. Previous working experience in Audit is a must.
A strong knowledge of GAPSE, GAPSME, IFRS and International Auditing Standards is required as well as strong leadership and teamwork abilities. Organisational and excellent communication skills are fundamental for this role.
Excellent fluency in both written and verbal English is required while fluency in Maltese is an advantage.
