Senior Accounts Associate

GCS Malta is currently seeking a Senior Accounts Associate to join our team on a full-time basis. If you are fully qualified in ACCA or hold a master’s in accountancy, then you should not miss this one!

The chosen individual will be mainly responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements and management accounts. The Senior Accounts Associate will be reporting directly to the Accounts Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Handling a portfolio of clients
  • Preparing management accounts and financial statements
  • Preparing VAT Returns and compliance
  • Carrying out tax reporting and payments
  • Preparing and interpreting forecasts and budgets
  • Forecasting and Monitoring Monthly and Weekly Cashflow
  • Carrying out monthly reporting on Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss
  • Calculating accruals and prepayments
  • Other duties and task as may be assigned by the Head of Accounting.

If you have a minimum of 1 year of working experience in a client accounting role, then this one’s for you! Sound knowledge of software such as Sage, as well as cloud-based accounting software such as XERO, is considered a strong asset.

The individual must be highly analytical, have strong communication and numeracy skills. One must also be keen on working within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Fluency in the English language is considered a must, whereas knowledge in Maltese or any additional language is considered an asset.
