GCS Malta is growing, and we’re searching for a Senior Audit Associate to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. If you have a strong interest in Audit and are seeking to take the next step in your Audit career, then you should not miss this one!
Reporting to the Audit Director, the successful candidate will join GCS Malta as a Senior Audit Associate, contributing to audit engagements while developing their skills and advancing their career with us.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing audit planning, testing and completion of clients assigned.
- Assigning work to juniors/associates on any tasks which they can help with, and giving the appropriate coaching.
- Initiation and execution of planning meeting with Audit Supervisor/Audit Manager.
- Finalisation of final balances and preparation of financial statements.
- Communication to client for any audit inquiries and significant audit issues noted within the course of audit.
- Assists Audit Supervisor/Audit Manager with the engagement activities and status of the audit.
- Inform supervisor/manager on status of ongoing audits (i.e., when it started, any arising issues and completion).
- Assisting with induction of junior/audit associates.
- Assisting with other audit related projects and ad-hoc tasks
If you are currently studying or are an already qualified individual from ACCA or similar, or in the final stages of the qualifications, with experience working in an auditing department, then you should not miss this one. Strong knowledge in GAPSE, GAPSME, and IFRS is required.
Knowledge in English is a must, while knowledge in the Maltese Language would be ideal.
