We’re on the lookout for a Technical Specialist to join the team on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Manager Digital Office, the Technical Specialist will be providing 2nd tier support to national operating companies, our direct partners in the EMEA region as well as GBS customers, for the company’s complete product range, associated software applications, and relevant integration/connectivity functionalities.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the implementation and maintenance of testing/demonstration environments in relation to customer queries and problems, handle escalation and tracking of support cases to 3rd tier support, and initiate/support product function-testing or quality analysis.
Main Responsibilities:
- 2nd level support of all European NOC’s & Distributors / partners belonging to the area of Europe, Central Asia, Middle East & Africa
- Reproduction of customer problems by support of test environment and solution finding
- Escalation of not solved technical problems to headquarters via defined reporting tools
- Initiating and/or support and controlling of product, firmware/software-related testing of functions and quality analyses
- Planning and realisation of product launches into the MEA market
- Planning and realisation of workshops and Trainings with internal and external participants
- Technical support as well as participation in in-house fairs and country fairs
- Allocation and maintenance of know-how into knowledge databases and content management systems
- Securing of all product and project-related documentations and statistics incl. the constant reporting to the superior
- Support of presales activities
- Customer onsite visits
- Support of IT Services in general
- Support of Software Applications, utilities, tools
- Support of Network and Operating systems in connection with the company’s products
Requirements:
- Excellent English language skills in wording and writing
- Distinct organising ability, communication and didactic skills
- Team player
- Detailed knowledge of network Management (ports, protocols, Server-Client systems, e.g. Windows Active Directory, Novell Netware etc.)
- Ability to recognize trends and developments within the IT market.
- Advanced knowledge in Operating Systems (MAC, Windows, Linux, Unix etc.)
- User knowledge in MS-Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) and Adobe applications (Acrobat, Creative Suite)
- Technical know-how of product environment e.g. color adjustment, computer language as well as experience in color management
- Willingness to travel on an international level
Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and/or experience in the digital printing industry.
