When one thinks of January, resting from the festive food comas and new year’s resolutions come to mind. However, January is also Get Organised Month (GOM). At GCS Malta, we decided to take on the challenge and #GetOrganised.

History of Get Organised Month

In 1983, a group of women started offering organising services at a time when consultation services were not yet popular. Passionate about organising, they called their group the Association of Professional Organizers (APO). In 1986, the association changed its name to the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). In 1991, the first Get Organised Week took place. Then, from a week to a month, the first Get Organised Month took place in 2005.

This GOM campaign aims to inspire individuals and companies to understand the importance of organising and how it can help raise productivity.

Why should you Get Organised?

Being organised can be very beneficial in several aspects of one’s life or company:

  • Saves you ample time
  • Helps your finances
  • Reduces stress
  • Provides more personal time

How GCS Malta Got Organised

For January, our GCSeers buckled up and got to organising! Our company’s goal was to organise our office as much as possible, from decluttering our desks and laptops to organising files and cupboards.

Besides organising ourselves, we wanted to help our followers and clients get organised. This is why we filmed two how-to videos:

  1. How to Best Budget Your Finances – In this video, Matthias shows our viewers how to budget one’s finances by offering four budgeting tips.
  2. How to Declutter Your Laptop – In this video, Colleen offers three tips on how to declutter your laptop.
